1st Warlord-level win

I had my first Warlord-level win in C4, on points when the clock ran out. I was rated only one up from the very worst. I think luck played a big role. Chieftain level seems to give you an early free settler every time. But I'd never seen it at Warlord level until this time. And I also appeared to have all the iron.

Noble guide

A good guide to playing up to Noble level is Sisiutil's Strategy Guide for Beginners. I have not yet won at Noble, but I'm much improved.

Something I discovered on my own was that the military advisor will give you a count of other powers' units and type, even when locations are not known. This is fantastic intel, and caused me to launch an immediate attack on a weak neighbor.

So much to learn.

So much to unlearn. The info about the military advisor was completely wrong. It only shows you the units you currently can see. That mistake got me into a couple of silly wars.

C4, Settler level

My copy of C4 for Mac came, and I plpayed a game at settler level as the Mongols and won by domination. Must remember to turn that off. I started a couple at chieftsin level and wound up stalled each time. Then I played again at settler and won by conquest in 2024.
